Without Us is an old project, I might revisit it in time, but after Covid it seemed less important. The premise was to imagine what the world would look like if we just disappeared. We've heard of places such as Roanoke or Angkor, where the people appeared to just disappear with no explanation. While there may be a perfectly logical explanation, my interest was less in what happened and more around how different the world looked when they were gone. Roanoke had no signs of fighting or disaster, just an empty township with no sign of the people, in some ways far eerier than if there had been some signs of struggle or famine.
This project was done in several places, so I'll be sharing them below in their original sets. I started these before I had a camera and so many were taken on my phone and are of a lower quality, but I believe the feeling is still there.
